The last step in the HELOC process is to sign the security instrument (mortgage/deed of trust) with a notary.
Remote Online Notary (RON):
- Available for most properties (availability depends on state and county rules)
- Conducted fully online — each signer has their own individual signing session
- Requirements: Government-issued photo ID, mobile device with video camera and microphone, high-speed internet
Mobile Notary: If your property is in a state or county that does not allow remote online notarization, Trovy will schedule a mobile notary to meet you in person.
